It kind of feels right, though "sincere" appears to be written as "since". My own example is a lot looser but it is from a decade later (1954). I wouldn't touch the OP example with a barge pole because of the taping and the horrible encapsulation. Eddy is right about the latter. Here's my example, which I'm posting yet again.
