5 DIFFERENT MICKEY MANTLE STYLE SIGNATURES AUTHENTICATED BY G.A.I.....3 AUTHENTICATED BY MIKE BAKER

All of these autographs were authenticated by G.A.I which raises the question....how the hell could one company authenticate 5 different style Mickey Mantle signatures ?!?!?!?!...Mike Baker authenticated 2 of these items which the one on top is actually authentic in my opinion....he actually authenticated that one...

The second Mantle I am really not quite sure about...is that a bad authentic Mantle or better then usual forgery ?...that middle Mantle really has me scratching my head...also authenticated by G.A.I. I don't like it...good or bad...its off to me

The third Mantle we all know about....garbage all day all the way...also authenticated by G.A.I. I do admit that I have seen some authentic Mantles popping up lately....were there coming from is beyond me since the great Mickey Mantle has been deceased since 1995...16 YEARS...

The fourth Mantle is really the closest I have seen in a long time...this will by far be the style that really ruins a extremely tainted hobbie already !!!! Iam guessing the guy that did the second Mantle also did the forth one also authenticated by Mike Baker !!!!!

The fifth one has my baffled...WTF is going on here !?!?!?!?!

JUST LIKE MY MAN CLINT EASTWOOD....I REFER THESE AUTOS AS THE GOOD...THE BAD...AND THE UGLY...and now THE REAL UGLY

Feel free to post any G.A.I Mantles good and bad...let me know what you guys think...

It’s a pretty sloppy example, but it has a number of positive indicators. If I was forced to make a call, I’d say likely authentic.

man, I don't like this one.  CEE and Mr. Zipper have a better eye for Mantle's than I do but I really don't like the rounded 'n' at all.  I think the negatives outweigh the postives.

Thanks for your comments. I added another phot of one I am going to buy. I think I posted it in the wrong spot. I posted before your last comments on the other ball. What do you think of the auto I posted in CEE GEE comment area. I hope you think its good. Thanks againRon

I recently purchased a Mantle autographed pic for over $1K  that is GAI.  What do you all think about this one?

Shane,

I'm very sorry to tell you this, but your Mickey Mantle autograph is absolutely a forgery. It's the same kind as the third one at the top of this discussion. It's the most commonly seen Mantle forgery. Where did you buy it? And how recently and how did you pay for it? If it's within 60 days of the statement date you may be able to get a credit card charge back.

Shane...its really unfortunate but that is a forgery....If possible get a refund on it...you can get an authentic one on a photo from $150 - $300 range if you look around....try to bring that back as soon as possible...

What Shane is saying doesn't make sense. Over $1000 for a Mantle signed photo? I think I have to call bullcrap on this one. But maybe I'm wrong.

please help i'm looking to buy this jersey today?

Horrible fake.

My suggestion is to never rush into an autograph buying situation unless you really know what you are doing.

I only have autographs from people that i meet in person or from upperdeck. The ones that i'm worried about are the ones from people that are dead. I wish i could of met them when i was younger but i couldnt and now i have to take chances or pay out the wazoo from a top authenticator. I notified the person that was selling the jersey i will not be buying it and i'm sorry for the inconvience but i can't afford to take a chance like that.

No inconvenience...no apologies necessary. Members here love to help collectors avoid getting taken. That's a big part of why this site is here.

thanks steve i appreciate that and i'm glad im a new member to this great site.
