Coach's Corner (www.myccsa.com) is one of the largest monthly auctions of sports autographs, trading cards and memorabilia. They sell non-sports items as well.

  • What's your experience with them?
  • What do you think of their material?
  • If you've sold through Coach's Corner, how happy were you
  • Do you have autographs from Coach's Corner you'd like opinions on?

Let's talk about it!

naw, the "quotes" are around the correct section but it would be a better presentation if it read

"Morales certified Forsenic Authentication expert"   framed display!

COACHE'S CORNERI don't knowwwwwww. Hmmmm, Some of his older signatures on balls just seem to be way to clean and the ink is dark and full ..No breaks in ink and all the other autographs seem to be the same . My Opinion is some of his balls have been signed recently but not by some of the players. Other balls have the same ( pen pressure, solid and shinny ink and looks too current)........Anyone agree?

The trick to Coach's Corner is to find the needle (authentic) in the haystack of (non authentic ones).

There are lots of threads on this place here on AML.  None of which are complimentary.

More like a needle in a stack of needles. I dealt with Coach's Corner one time, never again. I bought what I believe was an actual authentic Michael Jackson signed photo back in 2001. In fact, I'm sure it was authenic because when I won it for around $125 they never sent it to me. The only positive experience I had with them is that they refunded my money. So if you ask me what I think of them, my answer is simple, I think they are garbage. Pure GARBAGE!!

at least you got a refund.  I suspect a number of buyers didn't then of course there are many more who probably don't realize that what they have is a "non-authentic" signed item.

with so many coach's corner threads to choose from - this will have to do.

Ole Dog Eared Collector to all members of Authentication and Forgery Alert on Autograph Magazine Live!!

Testimonial on Coach's Corner website:: "When I chose to auction off my most prized personal momentos, there was no other choice but Coach's Corner."
Bobby Schantz -- Former Major League Baseball Player

"I was so sad to read this. I've met Bobby a few times and he's a great guy. how could he be duped by such crooks."

first and foremost we need to nip the message use of that thread while showing how to post a comment or open a discussion instead of messaging all members... but that's for another time.

I located a rather amusing update on their claim;

I have a funny story for you guys. Last week I attended a fund raiser with different former athletes showing up signing autographs and posing for photos ect. Moose Skowron and others showed up. One of the gentlemen there happened to be Bobby Shantz. I met him and was talking about baseball of yesteryear and I remembered the quote he made on CC's website. I said "Mr.Shantz, if you ever want to sell any more of your collection, go somewhere other than Coach's Corner. They are ruining the hobby sir" He looked confused and said he didn't have a clue to what I was talking about. I guess CC's is now using peoples "quotes" to promote how great they are!

even more amusing is Travis (and it does sound like Travis Roste) even exposed Morales.  Oh how the times have changed;

Travis said...

That's all i is is garbage, and Morales is crazy. he must be getting a nice check every month from cc to pass that junk. They are hiding behind the "opinion" defense. Well, that's not going to fly forever. Any regular person knows that there arent dozens of Ruth and Gehrig snow white balls signed in dark ink floating around every year to auction off. I am glad cc is getting into artwork like chagall, picasso, etc. Because the art world doesn't put up with this nonsense either, and in my hobby, boxing, if any dealer made such stupid overtures as to offer a bunch of obvious junk, even one time, they lose their reputation, but it is hard to lose what you don't have, isn't it Lee?

braggin about wealth=insecurity.

for more on this http://sports-rings.com/2009/06/heard-on-net-coachs-corner-claims-t...

Appears we have a new COA to contend with - World Class of Autographs who claim witnessed signing.  I wonder who they witness signing lot 100 for tom brady and one of their COA'd mantle is below "or provided proof" as the alternative claim..  Anyone know who they are?

On another one for Russell or Chamberlain the CC "historians" claim Russell hardly signs anymore.

Never heard of them, but notice that it says their items were obtained during a private/public signing (public signing would probably be from a chaser, I guess) OR from a parter who provided proof it was authentic.

Same old BS.

Another DiMaggio/Marilyn Monroe baseball in the Coach's April auction:

Another piece of crap "authenticated" by Chris Morales.

I've seen the "World Class Autographs" COA on Roach's Corner for awhile now.  Just another garbage and worthless COA.

they also seem to be on ebay with this recent Michael Jackson Sale reminds me of nicolas burczyk
