Thanks for the replies. So are you all confirming its not a fake? After reading on one of your posts that 90% of Mantle autos are forged I'm concerned.
Can I be confident that this ones real?

This same fella gave me 6 other auto balls (Ted Williams, Henry Aron, Reg Jackson, Nolan Ryan, Griffey Jr., and Lou Brock). They are all on the same type of ball that say official ball national or American League.
Then I also got three balls that I can't make out who they are.

Gary, if Christopher says the Mantle is good, just take his word for it. It's the next best thing to getting it signed in person.

I see terrier. That's ringing praise for sure:). Now I feel more confident the other balls are real too cause they are all from the same friend.
Two questions now: the three auto balls I don't recognize would maybe you guys recognize them? And does this site allow sales of collections like these or value estimates?
One things for sure...I came to the right spot for info...good job.

I wouldn't assume they are all good just because the Mantle is good. Even smart collectors get fooled and buy from a bad source once in a while.
Post an image of the unknowns. Chances are someone will know who it is.
There is a free Buy/Sell section here. Post scans and an asking price. Maybe you will get some bites. :-)

Yep. Chris' opinion second best to me only to personally seeing it signed. I value his Mantle opinion over PSA or anyone else.
