eBay seller rivahgirl picked up some junk Mantle forgeries at an auction thinking she found the diamond in the rough, unfortunately she picked up some turds in the rough, and is looking to flip them on eBay for profit.

Here are 3 horrific Mantle forgeries listed by eBay seller rivahgirl , all of these ending in 8 hours.

GAI forgeries:

Love the "blurred" photos these sellers have on AUTOGRAPHS, something that is VERY IMPORTANT TO SEE.

Another eBay seller who knows NOTHING about autographs going to a local auction and buying junk fakes to flip on eBay for profit while eBay sits back and does NOTHING. Four out of Five of the top 5 "Best Matches" for "Mickey Mantle Autograph" are FORGERIES. eBay PROMOTES FORGERIES. Sickening.

Pat, are you going to refund the buyer of the forgery of Koufax you sold for $99 bucks? Curious if you are going to make right.

Ebay seller Rivahgirl writes i her item description "This item was purchased at an auction, neither the auctioneer or I am qualified to authenticate autographs. If you have questions about authentication, contact the authenticator.  There are no refunds."

Every Ebay auction reads "Sellers Assumes All Responsibility For This Listing."

Typical "Florida" Koufax forgery.

that's not her job at this point IMHO. That's on the jacka** that bought it

Guess opinions vary. Curious what she does. She claims to be a 100% honest seller. I would think that includes refunding those who already bought forgeries from her.

Thanks Pat...This is exactly why it is so maddening for collectors. We know it's usually the seller who is really the victim of the crime & mostly their own stupidity. Don't take that the wrong way. You want to believe that they are real....well I want to believe I will be with Eva Mendes someday, but I won't. When I ran into her at Costco over Christmas. I choked. My cart was in the way of hers and as I went to get out of her way, I spun around and was face to face with her. She made an off the cuff joke to me, as I recognized her. I froze and ran like rabbit with thorn in paw and called my wife.

We see this every week here and it's really sickening. Even sicker because E-bay doesn't police their site very well. Good enough to take down the putrid stuff you walked into though? That should tell you something.

Sometime we are not too tactful here because collectors are just sick of this infestation of complete crap...and especially good people like yourself being taken. That's why were pissed. I'm so pissed I quit collecting. I am vocal here because it's all I can do to help other people who have been duped. There was nothing like this when I started and if there was, I wouldn't have had to shred crap. But over time, I learned fact from fiction. The fake literally jump right out at you...it really is that easy at this point for me.

A tip for future e-bay selling...whatever you're selling...TAKE A CLEAR PICTURE. Figure it out with your phone, scan or get a cheap camera. You will get significantly MORE with clear pics and descriptions.

As for this stuff posted here, tell Bob to get that crap out of your house and get his money back from where he got it and be forceful! A night in the doghouse is sufficient for the poor guy. Don't be too hard on him. Good luck and thanks for setting the record straight.

They are/look like the exact same signing hand/instrument.

What have I done to you that you berate me like this.  I have not said any nasty things about you.  What gives you the right to say those things to me.  I guess you are laughing your head off now, but I am serious and very distressed about all of this.

I don't want to get into this, but I hate the "I don't know autographs" excuse. If you don't know what you're selling is authentic, don't sell it.

Auctioneer assured me they were authentic and stupid me belierved him, but we are working on him getting hisd.

WHAT AUCTION IS IT??? Whats the name of the auction house?  Im not asking for the auctioneers name.

If you dont know autographs then why buy it?  You obviously just bought them to sell, so why buy something you have no idea about to try and sell?  I dont sell diamonds cause I dont know s*** about them.. I see them on auctions all of the time but I dont believe the descriptions or the "appraisal price"

Tyler, that has always been my issue with sellers who purchase "those" forgeries at local auctions, estate sales, charity events, etc.  They buy this garbage on the cheap and their only intention is to flip them on Ebay for a profit.

They have ZERO knowledge of autographs and yet they buy them in bulk to flip on Ebay.

Then they are shocked because they forgeries are exposed here.  They are shocked because they think Ebay is a place "they can hide and anonymously" sell their forgeries.

It doesn't work like that any more.   We will continue to expose Ebay sellers who list and sell forgeries.

And, in my opinion, these sellers are not the innocent victims they claim to be.

OK, expose the other listers who have the same stuff listed right now.
