Found a Fake Mickey Mantle with a fake COA, I've seen these coa's and they usually accompany plaques with 2 separate photo's that are Autographed by Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle. I do, however believe the Ted Williams Signature to be Genuine.

The Mickey Mantle signature looks almost identical to the the fake I purchased.

Good eye. The reason it looks almost identical is because it is. The forgery ring who produces these is using a machine to create the signatures. Essentially they are using a handful of "base patterns" and then slightly "stretching" them one way or another to make them look different. Probably some sort of computer controlled plotter. Once you get the "look" of these, they stick out like a sore thumb.

Ray, both the Mantle and Williams are forgeries. Common Florida fakes.

The Williams is also a fake. The first giveaway is the d in Ted should not be up high near the start of the W. Also, this particular forger always has sharp top edges to the m in Williams, many times coming to sharp points. Other signs as well, but these are the most obvious to me.

FYI, those Gallen Certificates are usually Gold!!! In this case, there has been the old bait and switch. A common tactic to attract legal morons which are plentiful these days.

I agree fudd with the gallen certificates. Everyone of them I've seen had been genuine imo until I saw this one. I was surprised to see it accompanying this forgery. Steve, I see your points on the Ted Williams now that you have brought to my attention. Also ,with the gallen coa I notice that a hand written number was missing in the blank on the COA.
