I assume this is real given its provenance but I thought I would double-check as Noel and Mitch look a touch odd to me. According to the seller they were half asleep at the time. Great piece if real.

as i expected a dealer not a Hendrix collector itll be back on e bay for $15k or more

That's unfair to say. I collected for many years and still do,sometimes you have to buy and yes sell things to sustain ones collection. It's very hard for me to sell Jimi Hendrix items as I have in the past and am doing now,(especially the Jimi/Monkees tour set of signatures)….Again, what you don't understand is why, sure I'd loved to keep everything I've bought over the years….That's not realistic,my last name isn't Gates.  I have seen Jimi many times in concert and think he still is without peer. I only wish I had half of the Jimi things that I sold from what I collected over the years….You can Google my name and you will see my name in the Fillmore East Band of Gypsys credits. What I do with what I buy or why I do it,quite frankly is none of your business, but if you'd knew you might understand why. Hint….I am a grandfather and college tuition is only going higher.

Bob,

If you haven't already, you may want to get an online opinion from Roger Epperson before paying for it, just to make sure. I imagine you'll send it to Roger or PSA/DNA before selling it anyway.

Assuming it's good, I think you made one heck of a buy! It's a piece I wish I had in my collection.

Steve,

I had it looked at prior to bidding on it and after winning it this boring sent out a scan   of it to a well respected TPA

Thanks for your wise advice, it's something every collector should heed!

Bob

*boring  LOL!  See what happens with these bloody overseas early morning auctions….I meant *morning :)))) I thought I typed moring and forgot the n.

My computer corrected my mistake, hence the "boring".

I had only 3 hours sleep, I'm exhausted.

like you put the work in you wouldnt have even seen it the first time around or this time if it hadnt been brought to the site you just use the site to claw deals by using peoples friendly nature on here will the hendrix be in your personal collection ...NO

Wrong, I saw it in one of the email alerts that I get from Invaluable, you are so off here! You have no idea of what you are talking about. I did see it talked about on here afterwards and thought, well there will be more bidders on it and it's going to cost more….Buy again,I've been on Invaluable for quite a while now.

Hi Bob,

I love the set, but Rogers Wright says Mitch's autograph isn't correct. I've never studied Mitch and Noel. The Hendrix looked the way it should to me, so I didn't question the others. I think it's unlikely anyone would add them to a Hendrix, even in the '60s.

Steve, In the description, the original recipient states that Mitch and Noel were not in the most alert state (sleeping),which makes sense to me why the Mitch isn't perfect. Jimi obviously was as the recipient of these signatures had quite a long conversation with him. Gerry Stickells or Eric Barrett didn't sign for Mitch….Is it sloppy and not a perfect Mitch?  Could Mitch have been in an altered state?  Yes.

Bob, Rogers: It turns out this piece was discovered on Antiques Roadshow in 2010!

It was dumb luck. I googled "hendrix, experience, autographs, 1967" hoping to find the discussion on this site and it popped up!
