STUDY: Jerry Lee Lewis - TTM real or not real

Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.  

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

the ebay item number for the album 330674768234  it has 145 dollars on it if anyone wants to search it up.

I have to be honest here.  I got both Quaid and JLL on the same item IP and this Quaid doesnt look like what I got IP.  The JLL does however.  I dont know Quaid at all, and he was rushing as he signed mine, but it looks different is all I am going to say.

Steve I have no idea. I would have to see the autograph itself. I have my suspicions but can't prove them. In MY OPINION they're not Jerry Lee Lewis' autograph period. That's my opinion and I stand by it. Jerry has been very consistent even in the late fifties, sixties, seventies up to and including now. He may or may not know this is going on. I have no idea.

Ok - when I was cleaning up my office.  I found this Jerry Lee signed the white 45 protector that I put my 45 in last time I send things off to him.  NOW - this did come with 45 that I think to not be real, but his one is tricky. What are your thoughts on it guys??

First picture is the protector the second is the actual signed sleeve that I actually do not like.

I believe I may be a bit fried from looking at too many JLL signatures. It surprises me every time a person receives multiple signatures back in one mailing and the differences between them. If indeed one is good and the other is not, why would they do this? I know his signatures vary but to see big differences with signatures supposedly signed within moments of each other is odd.

That being said, I see positives about both signatures. I am comfortable with the one on white and the other I am a little less comfortable with.

By the way, why do you think there is an odd, up and down mark between the two L's? It doesn't seem to fit.

You are right Chad - I am way more comfortable with the one on the white card vs the one on the sleeve.

The whole flow of the signature on the white card seems off to me.  And you are right the end of LEE seems very odd.

The one in white is spot on to IPs I have received.  The other?  Not so much.  Chad what do you see as positives on the second one?  The very nature of that signature is basically what started this debate many months ago.  Its way different than any IPs I have seen.  Once again, if someone on this forum has received a signature exactly like this IP, please post it.

Thanks Steve - The one on the white card is BIG - about 5 inches across and really pops!  I am hoping its real.  Again - the picture sleeve and the white card were together in the same protective sleeve. Strange how I got 2 different signatures with the same red pen (IMO)   I used the white card for protecting the sleeve.  I just yesterday noticed it was actually signed.  :)

Steve Viola,

A couple positives I see on the second one include--

1. The size, shape and lean of the L on Lewis.

2. The number of upward pen movements in Lewis is consistent with many authentic examples.

3. The circumstantial evidence that this piece arrived with other authentic pieces signed at the same time.
