There's a comment left at the end off the blog by Tricia Eaton studying at Rr auction.

If anyone has anything constructive to say about the subject please do, im sure its been a subject on the forum before.

This article was written 6 years ago and "Forensic" examiners are still a joke.

Has anyone had a positive experience with Fde's bailing them out off a sticky situation?

Really, good article, Paul. I definitely enjoyed reading it. As we have learned, fde's are bogus, at least the ones we are familiar with here. And ultimately, we also know that even the best authenticators get it wrong sometimes. The best sources for an autograph, obviously, are either yourself, in-person, or from a trusted source who got it in-person. If you can get something special from the original recipient, you are really lucky. As you know, that just happened to me!
Just reminds me of how much I love Jeff Gold.
