Jerry Lee Lewis New Book and Signing?

has anybody got information about what bookstores jerry is attending to sign his new book ? I say sign as I have seen at the barnes &noble store in new York while he will be in attendance the books will be pre signed and only the auther will be signing !! does that set any alarm bells off

at this moment this is the only signing he will be attending does anyone know of any others as would really like to add him to my book collection and being based in uk I have to get in touch with the stores in usa !!

Im a Ballroom fan, and have read all the posts at least twice. This thing could be a book! I would urge everybody to keep it friendly with the old agree to disagree route. I don't know if these books are good or not and that would be my vote. I own one of the books and wont part with it. I don't think the Lewis clan will ever admit if they were signed by somebody else. Some people aren't as nuts like we are over autographs and might not think its that big a deal to have someone else sign them.

Personally, it would drive me nuts if I went to a 'book signing' and found out the books were signed by someone else. I would probably burn it. I hate bogus items in my collection. If that makes me a nut about autographs, so be it.

Actually, that is a very good idea, but a lot of work for Ballroom to undergo. But I have 3 in person signatures I obtained if you ever need to see them for comparison.

Been lurking in the thread for a while but never posted. Really not a Jerry fan (I like Great Balls, but so does everyone probably) and I'm kind of glad I'm not just based on reading about his autograph habits for years. I would be pretty disappointed trying to get a ttm, even paid, and still having questions. With the paid ttm autos, I would just have "questions." With the books, I would have no question. Every autograph posted is so neat compared to the IPs or even ttms. Unfortunately, it's not unheard of with doing fake "signed" books-it's happened with Hillary Clinton and Muhammad Ali back in the 90s with autopens and Keith Richards and Gregg Allman not too long ago. With Lewis, whoever handled the autographs probably figure he'd be called out on autopen so they resorted to ghost signing most likely hoping no one would be the wiser.

Why do people keep calling these “neat” signatures? Some are rather sloppy. The TTM signature that Mark Roberts received on his copy of the debut album is much neater than some book signatures I’ve seen. It appears to me as though JLL did attempt to produce a neat, consistent signature, but at some point or points that broke down into sloppier, more abbreviated ones. I would imagine that he either started to tire of signing, encountered some physical difficulty, or both. He did say that his hand was getting tired.

all i will say is i went to a book signing i would expect him to sign it in front of me has anyone been to a book signing where the book has been presigned ?

Alan, there have been a few signings where the celebrity didn't do signings. I know Don Rickles was one, due to health. Jerry Lewis (not Lee) was also a pre-signed. I think they both did speeches but no signings. The recent Kevin Costner tour was also a speech with no signing. Teri Garr did a tour and was "stamping" the books (totally understand IMO) but would sign an item if a fan brought one. I would much prefer a stamp, if the star truly cannot sign on a tour, over a possible fake signed by someone else.
