Here's another one that intrigued me. This was on ebay a few weeks back and made just under £1,500.

It was supposed to have been authenticated by a contributor to this site but I'm not too sure about it. The "Lennon" looks too uniform to me and the low price suggests others might agree.

On top of the autograph, the seller said that the record was immaculate. I find it hard to imagine that the sleeve and record would be in such different condition.

One other thing... the seller said it had been in his UK family since 73 but didn't say how the family got it over to John in the US for signature.

Any thoughts?

No. Not a Beatles expert in the Epperson/Tracks sense as far as I know but I'd rather not say. He may chip in himself anyway.

Do you have a link to the ebay page?
Also that is an american copy of Mind Games.

I've just unwittingly given the game away re the authenticator. Apologies about that.

I don't like the signature. I haven't heard of Did they sign it before.
I don't recognize the authenticator. It is an american copy of Mind Games. John never made it nack to the UK to have signed it there if ot supposebly was signed in the UK. Also not sure how they bought an american copy in the UK in 1973. The story alone doesn't add up for me.
Thats still a lot of money 1.500 pounds for the likes of a forgery.
I don't think it's real. It's a style from the late 60s, not how he was signing in 1973, and certainly not so crisp and clear....in my opinion.
This style would be correct for the mid-70's.

Here are a couple of similar that Bonhams sold approx. 10 years ago for around £3k each.
