I see this site brought up a lot on this site for autograph references.

problem is, who ever this Stephan is he has a load of forgeries up here too. I get messages from people from time to time saying he has offered to sell a member here an item or two and it is never the real stuff imo, it is usually the fake stuff. Greed. He wants money but doesn't want to part with the good stuff.
Eagles are his most famous work. Attached is a screen shot of his fake work (not limited too). Notice how they are the same..... duh. If you look through his stuff he has loads of fake Zeppelin, Beatles, Springsteen, Stones, Floyd and more. Even the so called authentic Traveling Wilbury's is not real. Maybe the George and Petty are ok but 100% not the Lynne and I'm pretty sure the Dylan is bogus also. Anyway, I don't wish to debat about this guy and his ethics but if you are using him a reference be careful and I wouldn't buy anything from the guy either.

That was one of my 3 main concerns, yes. Your example does not address any of the others. It's also impossible to see without a better resolution image. I know you guys are friends and all but you don't think its the least bit suspicious that all his graphs are the exact same when Henley's graph is known for is variety and inconsistency? Of course you will find graphs that are similar in some aspects, thats the whole point of forgeries. I don't think you will find one that matches all the points of Stephen's, yet he has a stack of them.

IMO these 2 Dons are very different IMO, for layman (me) it seems like signatures of 2 different people with the same name - actually I dont see any similar (basic) characteristics - shaping of letters (D, line between D and o, different shaping of o, H, e, y), slant, spacing between them... if this was meant as example of two similar ones - I dont see any similarities at all! The left (blue) one doesnt have any characterstic of rushed autograph, it´s actually carefully written one (like written on table, with firm stable pad under the item) - the ink, press is thick and consistent, the final line of y has nicely shaped end....
Time can be explanation - each one coming from very different periods, but my guess - I dont think that careful bank officer would accept these ones if one would be seen as "example" and other one as signature needed for transfer of huge sum of money from one account to another... But that´s just my opinion.

Agreed Steve.. I'm not sure what else to do. Mr. Duncan has over 30 examples of the same exact style autograph on his site, but it doesn't match anything sold in the last 30 years (except by him). To me, that would be a huge red flag, if Roger doesn't think so, then I agree with Pete that I'm just wasting my time here going over the same points over and over again. I'll let the autographs speak for themselves, and folks can come to their own conclusions.

Did you not look at the Live album Mike? If that doesn't prove it then like I said, you made up your mind and nothing will change it no matter if you saw Henley do it in front of you. You would still say not the same.

It's quotes like this "Mr. Duncan has over 30 examples of the same exact style autograph on his site," that really blows your credibility on things. I just went to the site and counted 17 out of, heck I didn't count but it's a lot, but I didn't come up near over 30 over thirty. You can't embellish things and call them truth. That crap can get you sued big time. Lets say there are 90 items and you said there over 30 on his site. That is more then 30% that they look that way when in fact to my count that would be well under 20%. Huge difference

Sorry, I was also taking into account the items he has sold/offered for sale, they are not on his website. He has also adjusted his website several times since this post has been made. I have not checked it every day.
This isn't a battle, Roger, I'm pointing out my observation about the autographs he is offering for sale to members here. Many have agreed with me, including the person who owns this site where Mr. Duncan is selling his autographs.
If you don't agree, that's fine. We can disagree and move on.. but don't talk to me like I have some sort of vendetta against you or Mr. Duncan. That's ridiculous. I didn't even start this conversation.

has anyone looked at the Joe Walsh signatures on the photos at the beginning of the discussion? the J seems to be different than many of the ones that are deemed authentic.
