Hi Everyone :-)

I was wanting to buy this beautiful red SG Guitar signed by AC/DC but I have had conflicting opinions on it and those conflicting opinions have come from both reputable big name 3rd party authenticators as well as highly regarded and well respected AC/DC collectors who specialise in collecting AC/DC signed items.

I now have a huge dilemma in whose opinion I should trust as being accurate. I really love this signed guitar but find it hard to commit to the sale when some are saying they think it's fake and others are saying it's the real deal. One very reputable AC/DC collector said he was so convinced it was the real deal that if he were in the market for a signed AC/DC guitar that he'd buy it himself yet a highly respected authenticator said his opinion was that it was 'not likely authentic'.

Who to believe?!?! If anyone would like to have a look at this signed SG guitar please let me know your thoughts and why you think it's genuine or not. Link below.

I take my comment back, lately these tpas are all over the shop.

I can assure you that even the best TPA's can make mistakes and it would be naive to think otherwise.

It's certainly possible. It happened with the Fleetwood Mac forgery style they have for sale.

It's certainly possible, I'd just like to know which one.

Mike, All good :-)  I have no horse in this race at all so no reason or need for me to make this up or make anyone look bad. I'm simply a new collector on the scene still learning and I'm not in the game of naming and shaming an authenticator or collector as it serves no purpose and was not the reason for this post. It's just not my style to tarnish someone's reputation, maybe they've just made a terrible mistake on this one as they normally get it right. I certainly understand your curiosity though. My post was simply that I was confused about the different opinions and wanted more clarity on it's authenticity and I've got that so I'm happy overall with the clear response that the red SG guitar on Rock Star Gallery is a fake. I already have an authentic signed AC/DC guitar (photo posted on this thread) so I'm happy. Thanks for your input :-)

sir, do you live in a medicinal marijuana state? Cause one  comment  from you is not going to destroy anyone but it staRTS TO BUILD A PUBLIC REPUTATION database that benefits collectors/buyers and helps enable honest dealers/business men I mean really what are you doing here other than to get opinions from people willing to do so in publics with their identities known...

Yes thanks :-) Of course mistakes can be made regardless of how good the TPA may be.

@ Sling, Yes I made my intentions clear from the start that there was differing opinions on it and wanted others opinions. Nothing wrong with that at all! This is an autograph site so can't see the issue there at all. Seems you are creating issues here that aren't there so don't know what your agenda is. I'm doing the right thing and will not tarnish someone's reputation on a public forum or is it blood your after Sling? Would that please you more?! Anyway I refuse to answer anymore ridiculous off the topic comments such as yours. Keep it about the guitar and do not create a storm in a tea cup please.

this is ground control t major tum, we will hold your hand when you circle the moon. First, dealers/ authenticators have had the upper hand in the balance or power  of buyer/seller.  But social media has changed that? Every heard of yelp? That is kinda what this site is for collectors so don't protect any busainessman by keeping thyem anonymous ...

Ah,nevetr mind...

@ Sling... AGAIN! And I have not compromised that at all mate. This is your opinion and you do not dictate what this site is about. I've asked for some opinions and got some good ones but again refuse to get off track and get into the politics and publicly shame anyone. I'll keep my dignity. Over and out...!

Acdc are kaput!
No longer have a lead singer.
Yes Paul I think the whole world knows about the AC/DC lead singer issue right now. Lead singer Brian Johnson did say that he has not quit the band and may return if the medical treatment he is currently receiving works so there is an outside chance he could come back after AC/DC finish this tour with guest singer Axl Rose. Otherwise I think they may just quit after this tour but who knows...
