I need some help on this Marion Davies. I know she's hard to get as a real one, nearly everything seems to be secretarial. Do you think this one has a chance?

Seller has a mixed bag, so you've got to be careful, but maybe this is one of the good ones ...

When he was active with his dealership, Tom Kramer knew how to separate them as real or not but I also do remember him urging caution as you say.  I'll dig a little.  I hadn't thought about her autographs for awhile.

I did a quick look and realized really didn't save anything except two SPs....one secretarial and one said to be hers.  As I recall, even the more familiar SPs signed as just "Marion" could be tricky.  Her authentic hand seemed to be rather childlike in some respects.

Here are two album pages apparently from the 1950s well after her heyday.  Both of these look to be from the same hand, imo.  The one you are seeking opinions on looks different to me.  There's a jaggedness to it and several stops and starts.  Also looks like someone held a ruler under it to make it very straight where she seems to be wavy with her baseline.  Doesn't seem resemble her photo signatures either.  I don't think I care for it.

Thanks for your efforts and help, Eddy! Very much appreciated!

Sure thing....it's been a good refresher!

p.s.  I was thinking about Marion Davies again.  Member Nick Dimeo might have some insight to share on her signing habits as this silent era material is a specialty for him and he's very astute.  He's not as active here currently as in the past but maybe he will see this.

Interesting both the OP and the 1957 page have the same clipped image pasted on.
