Hi! This piece is something I purchased just Nov on ebay for $445. + $50 shipping fees, customs charge, whatever. I am seriously in want to know if this is genuine. All opinions are welcome. At first, a little history is required about this piece, the seller has sent me a photo of the autographed book the signature is on. There were, in fact, several autographs like Ingrid Pitt now deceased. Thank you.

hello nicholas, I have never heard of such a rule in uk auction houses;- its a load of nonsense
Hi Paul, I first want to thank everyone for commenting and trying to help me. The FACT about this Brian Jones autograph display is: It has passed Roger's opinion two times!!! Once from me and the seller even bought a quick opinion from Roger in efforts to convince me it was real. Despite the sellers strange actions, I now believe this is, in fact a genuine piece.
Hello Nicholas,
But you knew that before you started this thread. What caused you to change your mind now? You have heard a few more opinions on both sides, some still seeing a potential problem or weirdness like yesterday, and you now know the sellers story about not being allowed to reveal the auction source is not true. You also now know he actually does reveal sources regularly, just not to you. He told you he never does. I could not get past that!
I highlight some relationships and spacing observations in the scan below. I am looking at the nature of the "r" and the relationships between the "r", "a" and "o" with the "B" and the "J".
Also, what is with the pricing? How/why was this Jones $450 recently and the complete apparently strong vintage set he has up right now, said to be seen by Roger, is...$599 with a Buy it Now? Shouldn't that be closer to 2K or more? The entire band, Jagger et all, for...$145 more than you paid? Does that make sense? You also said you think that set is not genuine...so...?
a vintage complete and genine set for only $599??!! now that is really non sensical and bizzare. could someone be kind enough to post a link cos I cant find it;- it should be as you say in the $1,800-2,000 range;- all of this is very strange to put it mildly
It isn't a full set. According to the description, it's signed by Keith, Brian and Charlie, and Keith has signed on behalf of Mick and Bill. However, it looks like Keith may have signed for Brian as well.
My mistake. Apologies. But that leaves us now with a potentially fake Brian/Keith unnoticed by this seller and others? Not sure that is a vertical or horizontal move.
Anyone else willing to state their opinions from yesterday?
Who would pass?
We'll some were advising me to let Roger have a look at it, I'm just letting them know I did that's all. That seller wrote me two lengthy paragraphs in emails. The auction house does NOT allow it's merchant's customers to know the name of it, If he did, he would be bidding against his customers, this is the UK not America, who knows what rules apply here. I just wanted more positive feedback to reinsure my confidence in it's authenticity and I think I found it in most people. I'm not offended or bothered, I thank everyone who has tried to help me including you my friend.
I am uk based ;- and use both big and very well known and small, not very well known auction houses, not just for autographs and if such rule exists, I have never come across it. Normally auction houses are only too happy to write letters of what they know about provenance once you have paid .
