This is currently up for auction at "Gotta Have It" and was curious.  Not sure of this one.

Good one to discuss....some say it looks wrong...that could also depend on how it was signed. Did Lennon sign this on a hard flat surface?....or was he holding this in his hand while he signed it? That would account for the formation of the letters...could be the real thing...most forgers don't bother with salutations...let alone signing something to a guy named "Wolfgang"...

I think it has a good chance.

Would you put money on it ?

What are the odds?

It comes with a Lennon Music mailing envelope. How about asking the auction house for a scan? I bet that it's made out to a Wolfgang.

Here's a Lennon signature from Oct. 1980 in NYC on a matchbook cover...he used his hand as a backing to sign it...hence the formation of the letters...doesn't look legit...but it is.

What's the provenance of yours, Jim? It has a lot of the characteristics of the one Bruce posted, but it's quite different than the notes BJarte79 posted.

This one was sold a few years ago with a letter from Frank Caiazzo....

That would be interesting to see.

interesting to see where this takes us in the end.. here`s an authentic one from 1970 who definitely has some similarities to the one who started this discussion:

looking at the handwriting, I see similarities (the formation of the "f" for example).  I think Steve had this correct, authentic
