7 bucks? Seems too good to be true... either way I picked one up so I guess we'll see.

I think this is an error. They are being sold by "book outlet" but when you search book outlet for the book, they have it listed as a bargain book with no mention of it being signed.

Seems to be signed as there are only 13 left apparently.

Like MichaelCooper mentioned, this is being sold by a third-party-seller, not Walmart. Book Outlet sells publisher over-stock. Since this is reseller, I'm not sure why this is allowed in Musician-Direct.

Book Outlet does occasionally end up with signed copies in cases where the publisher has offered a publisher-direct signed version and had leftovers to dump. If it's sold by Book Outlet and listed as being a signed edition, that's usually because the ISBN is unique to the signed bound-in/tip-in edition of that title.

These books are remainder copies from the publisher, so they typically have a marker dot or slash on one end. If you're just buying for a cheap autograph, then this probably won't bother you because that part should be fine.

So we can’t list signed items offered by Barnes and Noble or Books A Million on here ?

I've mentioned this in other discussions, but the criteria as to what fits in "Musician-Direct" seems to be blurry at best. Just look at all of the posts that have nothing to do with musicians (Rogen, Stone, etc.).

It's been established that B&N, BAM, Waterstones, et cetera are permitted, but in my opinion this is different. It's a third-party seller on a marketplace (Walmart), and they're essentially a reseller who sells used (remaindered) books.

I'm just someone whingeing on the internet, not a moderator, so people are bound to disagree with me.

I read too quickly, I wasn't aware Walmart is a platform for 3rd party sellers like Amazon. Bought from Book Outlet before and it was fine (not signed book though), not sure if they have signed copies but I can imagine if the book is not signed people will return their copies, or maybe not other because they are so cheap?

Yup, I've used Book Outlet (and their sister company) before too, and haven't had any problems.

Looking at the ISBN, this does seem to come back as a signed tip-in, so I think it'll be fine. I think they have free shipping through their website right now though, so it might save a few dollars for people to go through them directly rather than Walmart.

Walmart sold out. Bought 2 from the book outlet site. lets see how this goes. ISBN does show signed edition

I noticed the ISBN, too and am tempted to buy but I am going to email book outlet first and see if they can verify if these are signed or not. It's just weird they wouldn't mentioned signed copy in the listing.

I'm pretty sure you guys will be fine. Book Outlet works in super-high volumes, and doesn't worry about marking signed editions as being special. Sometimes the title linked to the ISBN automatically says "Signed Edition" or the like, and sometimes you can just go by the cover art linked to the ISBN (like this one: Diane Rehm - On My Own). Other times like this one, you have to manually check the ISBN.

Thx for the heads up. I ordered one (only 3 left now).

Hopefully it's signed as I don't foresee getting Half Dollar's autograph any other way.

And if it's not signed I expect I'll be getting a full refund as that's what I paid for.

I do know that the special signed editions do end up on clearance sometimes. Years ago I got the slipcased and signed edition of "Everything To Gain" by Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter for $25, and I also got in on that $25 clearance deal on Madonna's book set from Amazon.
