I’ve actually now found a third set of autographs that match exactly to two other sets we talked about last year.  It’s amazing how close these are - all live ink and essentially exact copies or at least 2 of them are. Thoughts?

crikey, so where did you find the other one Fab234?

What makes you think that the first and second sets are live ink?

First set I own and I’ve examined the signatures with my loupe and it’s definitely ink and not a copy as in a photocopy. Also the ink smudged a bit on whoever signed them.

The second image someone from this forum supplied and I’m not sure where it’s from. It’s definitely a copy and whoever did it forgot to include the X’s under McCartney’s signature when they cut them out.

The third image I found on the Heritage web site might have been a 2005 auction.  I think that might be the original set.

What’s a bit worrisome is the detail on the copies.  Presented on their own with no reference they might pass as genuine autographs.  I’d like to know how they were able to get them so close using ink .

The third set apparently was offered through RR with two Caiazzo LOAs.

Vintage set of ballpoint signatures, "Lots of love, Pete Best, xxx," "Love from, John Lennon, xx," and "Love from, Paul McCartney, xxx," on a light green 4.5 x 3 autograph book page, and a ballpoint signature, "George Harrison, xxx," on an off-white 5 x 3.25 card. In overall fine condition, with signs of professional cleaning around Harrison's signature. Accompanied by two letters of authenticity from noted Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo; one of these, in part: "All four signatures date from 1962, and each is an excellent representative example from the period, thus making this a nice full set of Beatles autographs from the year 1962."

Here is the Heritage info - the auction was in 2008

Copies.

Yes 2 of them are likely copies

Wow, these days things are not what they seem. Have to start carbon dating the ink soon.

I remember this/thses and the missing "x"'s. IIRC I may have done some overlays. This stuff is getting very scary indeed. Unless you have a memory like Ian or Ballroom ;)
