Thoughts on this Abbott & Costello signed album page?

No idea on the sigs themselves other than that they look like ball point pen. I would expect fountain pen if they were obtained together. But I might be wrong.

I'm leaning toward these being real. These look like their early 1950's signing styles. By that time they were becoming a bit sloppier than their heyday in the 40's. I'm attaching a Bud that looks very much like yours...  including the kind of strange looking "B"s in Abbott.  Also a Costello from that period which has some similar traits to yours.

I agree with Etienne authentic imo

They certainly compare very favorably to your (fountain pen) examples. But early 1950s seems early for a ballpoint pen. But maybe the autograph collector got their hands on a ballpoint pen and found that easier to have people use.

But they compare nicely otherwise.

Both look fine. Early 50's is fine for ball point. Here is my fountain C. '45 set from the same album with a Zane candid:

Also, don't be fooled by those cutouts of them. The headshot images are from around the mid-40's but were used on promotional materials in the early 50's for some reason.  Also, here Lou connects his first and last name which he didn't start doing until the 50's.

Dr. Brucato placed these as mid 40's from the album they came from I believe.

Sorry my reference wasn't clear regarding those cutout photos. I was referring to the ones glued on Mupplvr's single page example.

Interesting on the dating of them. I honestly didn't think he was connecting the first and last names until the 50's.

I've seen Lou connect before 1950 BTW.

That's great! Thanks!
