Hello, all. I acquired a shirt worn by Angus Young in concert and then signed by AC/DC members at a record-store signing the day after the concert. It belonged to a collector who worked security at our venue, who caught it and kept it folded up in a box for over 35 years. He had a picture of the band signing it, but apparently his ex-wife threw it away. Obviously never washed. Still has Angus's sweat stains on it! I'm almost certain of its authenticity but wonder if any AC/DC collectors can agree the signatures are real and have ANY idea what this item is worth. Thanks!

Hard to say what it is worth to a die hard AC/DC fan I guess a autograph collector like most here wouldn't spend much on such a piece. First it is hard to tell if the graphs are legit they have faded already pretty bad and will fade more until you won't see them anymore, so it is buy no means a solid investment. Considering this it is just a nice piece to own if you have already other AC/DC memorbilia but I would wonder if this would sell more then 100 US$

The issue would be proving the provenance of this shirt. The autographs are extremely faded. The value would be that it was actually worn by Angus. An interesting story but, in terms of actual value without solid proof, not worth much.

The autographs are real but badly faded.

Can't tell you the value with any accuracy although, if you were ever intending to sell it, it needs to be authenticated by Roger or one of the other TPA's to have a possibility of getting it's worth. It's a unique item for sure.

the money is I the stage used  part . but u need to prove it.

it can be done but u will have to do a lot of research .I'm sure angus uses the same shirt maker each nite. theres a wardrobe person  .

if u can document it.  and the prove the sigs are real my guess are 2500$ or more

I forgot to include a photo of the shirt label. I've been trying to find out if the name on the label is relevant to Angus.

This is where I would spend some time. The label.

I don't know anything about this band, but I see photographs of Young making "horns" with his hands over his head in stage photos, apparently inspired by the profile of his Gibson SG he bought at 16. The label says "Horned School Wear"...someone may well have information about where he got his shirts, who might have made them etc. It might very well be a custom shirt and joking label/name - I find no manufacturer with this name so far - that is my current thinking. Otherwise why not any white dress shirt? Who would see the school label?

Brief History of the Schoolboy Costume

PS - RE that printed Elvis scarf - this is more what I expect aged ink on fabric to look like. Those Elvis items screamed printed.

I agree with John that the best value would be in the "stage worn" issue. I do think getting the autographs authenticated would help "sell" the "stage worn" story. Even if the person who obtained it "lost" the photo getting a letter signed by the obtainer would also help.

what about ticket stub from the actual concert can u get that .that's a start

not true about proof or fading

as long as u don't expose it to light it wont fade any more

and u should be able if u do a lot of leg work and duedilagence prove if it was his and stage woren. just depends on how motivated u are.

if I owned I could prove it one way or another but would take me connections and time. I have no vested interest but as I said the owner could if he tries
