Hey Folks!  So I came across a graph that I would like to purchase from a reputable seller (no doubt obtained by them in person).  However, in my search for this particular celebrity signature, I came across Regis Autographs (UK site) which is selling the EXACT photo/signature.  It's no doubt the same item.

I informed the reputable dealer about this so they could be aware and provided the link --- they had no reaction to their item up for sale on the UK site, said they didn't know that company and continued to ask for payment (as I had told them I was interested in purchasing their graph for my friend).

I was trying to make them aware of a very clear scam of their item but they brushed it off.  Should I be concerned?  It seemed odd. I mean no disrespect to the legit dealer but I wanted some opinions.

Thanks!

It might help if you posted images of the item you're looking to purchase and the item that you found online.

Yes, I'll do that now --- thanks

How do you know it is not an Autopen/facsimile that got past both of them? Different placement and colors it seems but both weird paint and with same "flaws"...

Good point — however the “reputable” dealer told me he got the graph in-person and went on to cite the time/place.

I don’t know what to think.

Sometimes a seller will list items that are not in their possession.  If an item sells, they will purchase it from the original source, and ship it once they receive it, essentially acting as a middleman.

Another good point ...

It is definitely not the same item - look at the placement. Same sig yes, w different placement.
