Absolutely not real.

When you say "the price seems right," I hope you know what you are saying there. Alan's autograph on an inscribed Snape 8x10 photo was $500 before he passed, about $800 now. An inscribed photo with the inscription removed was $800, now about $1200. The real rarity is a piece that was signed and never inscribed to anyone, they were $1200-$1500 before he passed, and one sold for over $2000 about 2 weeks ago.  

Prices may settle on other signed photos, but Potter stuff signed by him has always been a true rarity. I can't imagine anyone letting a real one go without some heavy duty cash changing hands.

Thanks for the input! I did not know that real autographs were going for that much now. I see the average price is $300-$500 on ebay now. I am leary b/c none are PSA authenticated, so I will stay away until I find one that is PSA. No matter the price.

Alan signed pretty much anything except Potter, after the release of the first film , it was about a month and he said no more.  The few pieces he had signed by that point became more than anything else modern celebs could sign.

He said repeatedly, that someday when the hype died down he may once again sign Potter material, but sadly he died before the hype.

He did make exceptions for children when begged, but the signed Potter item by Alan , should in no way be confused with any old signed photo. 

 There are only 2 real Potter shots on ebay both inscribed, both 11x14 and both $1850. The 11x14 size bumps the price quite a bit.

inscribed Die Hard $400- $500 each

playbills $125-$155

inscribed index $175 each

and a Robin Hood shot at $500

Yes autographworld is very trustworthy, but I don't see them having any Alan Rickman pieces in their Potter selection.

This looks pretty real to me. They also removed personalization above the signature (w/ very little residue). Thoughts?

Background: Seller obtained at a performance in the UK over 6 years ago. They also have a polaroid w/ Alan Rickman.

Whatever its status, that image has been Photoshopped. The signature has been sharpened almost to pixelation and/or the rest smoothed out, perhaps to...exhibit the area of removed personalization to advantage.

Sorry, Eric. That photo does look pixelated, doesn't it? I blame my phone b/c the original DEFINITELY is not pixelated and is quite flat/not sharpened one bit... It is smooth throughout w/out any digital manipulation to be seen, even to this graphic designer's picky eye. ;)

I hadn't noticed until your reply had me inspecting the uploaded file. I wonder why it did that?
