Hello all, appreciate your views on this one. It's apparently an Alan Shepard signing of his Moon Shot book - only interesting because it looks very similar to one on Ebay with PSA. I asked the seller where he got it and he reckons in a book sale.

That's nothing like Ive seen from him. Don't like it even if it was real.

From what I've read, his signature got very sloppy in those book signings, and there's a great deal of variation to them. I, too, think it looks off, particularly the "S," but I'm definitely not sure given the variety in these signings. Hopefully Steve Zarelli will chime in with a more authoritative answer.

For what it's worth, attached is a photo of my signed copy, signed on June 23, 1994, I believe.

Thanks both, there seems to a lot of variation in his signings that make this particularly risky, specially to newbies like myself.

Nicely signed full signatures are much more desirable on Moon Shot, but not nearly as common as the rushed "AShepard" sigs.

This is a typical book signing rushed signature. Authentic in my opinion, but desirable is another question.

Thanks for the clarification, Steve. I thought this might be in the realm of possibility, but these book signing ones have always been problematic for me, given their variation.

If you're looking to buy one there are a ton of nicely signed books out there.
