I currently have this item in my possession. Someone from Germany was the winning bidder on this item of mine that ended 4 days ago although still has not paid. But, as I and you can see. It's listed for sale on eBay. Not even sure it's the same person because of different ids.

Joe, I experienced a similar thing on eBay last year, but I was not selling; I was buying. I had committed to buy an original Star Wars album from 1977, “The Story of Star Wars” (A New Hope). It was an audio version of the movie. It was signed by Ford, Hamill, Fisher, Lucas, John Williams, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, and David Prowse. I offered $2500 on a $3600 OBO. I told the seller I could pay in a couple of weeks if that was okay. He said yes. In the meantime, I was looking at past sales and discovered that the very item I had purchased had already been sold...by another seller just a week or so prior for $3200. So I confronted my seller, and he said he was the buyer, but that something unexpected came up and he had to sell...even at a $700 loss just a week later? So, of course, I was not trusting this guy, and I contacted the original seller who said he had sold it to someone in Germany, not the USA where my seller was located. The original seller was unaware, but my seller had simply highjacked his photos and listed for sale an item he didn’t own. Needless to say, I never sent my money to the guy. I contacted ebay and told them the story. They ended up suspending the account.
I just opened an unpaid item action against the "buyer". And I reported this situation to eBay using their "report this item" link on the "seller". It probably is the same person using different ids. What I don't like is someone trying to sell an item before they pay for it and have it in their possession. Bad business ethics. IMO.
I once purchased a concert poster on eBay that had undisclosed restoration. It came from a European seller who agreed to issue a refund. He relisted it (again without mentioning the restoration) before I had a chance to ship it, and it sold that same day to a U.S. seller who immediately listed it for sale as a near mint condition concert poster. It was still in my possession.
Amazing! Maybe it's just me but I have to have the item in my hands before I would ever consider trying to sell it to someone else. Too many times I have received items that arrived not as described. I just don't get that kind of mindset in people.
I would guess that the current seller is trying to flip it, but it's odd that they haven't paid yet. Are the buyer and current seller from the same location?
Same city, same country. I assume the same person using different IDs. Although the item is still unpaid and here with me in the USA.
I can't understand why anyone would offer an item for sale that they have not paid for or have in their possession. What they do with it once they have paid for it is fine with me. It's not the way I would do business. No solid justification for that.
surely not the cleanest way to do business but time is money for dealers so why not list it. Ok buyer/seller should pay first but other then this I can't see something wrong.
Plus the seller seems to be a legit seller 2400 positiv feedbacks within the last 12 month.
Seriously? What if the product is lost or damaged in the mail. What if the autograph is a copy or, under direct inspection, not as it appeared? I happen to own this and already done my homework but, more than once, I've had to return an item that was not described accurately.
This isn't a drop shipment from a supplier that can be easily replaced. Why take the risk? Could be just me being petty but if the product isn't paid for and in my possession then I don't offer it for sale. Too many things could go wrong and I would be stuck with a dissatisfied buyer if the item did sell before I had it in my possession.
If I could I would cancel this sale myself(although I would have to lie to do so and say the product is lost or damaged). And it's not about anything other than it's the wrong way to do business, imo. Once this is done I will forever block this person from buying anything from me and I will never purchase anything from him.
BTW, it is stated in my listing that payment is expected within 3 days. It's been five and counting. That is not honoring the terms and conditions of the sale.
How are you making out with the buyer ???
BTW
I asked them to take down my item that I bought from them and they have now listed on Ebay because they don’t own it and how dare they sell something they don’t own anymore
no response from them
Still hasn't paid. I am in the waiting period before I can stop the transaction and still receive my selling fee credit. It's still listed by the seller even though they don't own it nor have it in their possession.
I can terminate the transaction on Sunday which is a day before their auction ends. Which is what I hope the way it works out. They can pay before Sunday via eBay's policy.
A bad way to do business.
