As I have looked at various Michael Jackson signed items that PSA/DNA has authenticated, I have consistently noticed that many of the MJ items that PSA looked at, and subsequently passed, before Michael's death appear to be non-authentic.

It looks to me like PSA didn't have much of a clue as to what authentic MJ autographs looked like prior to June 25, 2009.

So if you're looking at any MJ stuff passed by PSA before June 25, 2009, beware!

Here is an example of an item that recently sold on eBay for $555. It's a signed Thriller CD. Note the date of 11-12-2008.

Notice how slowly-drawn the autograph appears to be.
You could use a number of these tpa's today, on one particular item and no matter how good they are, im sure one of them would have a different opinion.
One or two will pass and another will fail.
So so, thats collecting.
Very true, Paul.

Sig should be fake.

And the COA doesn´t look authentic either

These days they should be able to tell mj easily.
Epperson should be the better tpa.

The item # for PSA/DNA H80530 is suppose to be a Thriller ALBUM.

Look how small the "PSA letter" is next to that CD.

Looks to me like the COA is garbage as well.

A close up of the sticker also shows it was cut out by hand - the oval part isn't very oval, probably printed on a label.  The lines around the PSA/DNA part are also faint, and not blue, not sure if they always were though.

A real sticker:

Great catch, Wascher. In my mind I was doing a "gotcha" on PSA, when in reality it was a fake LOA and sticker. I should have spent more time looking at the other stuff besides just the obviously fake autograph.
