Steve- I believe I have proven beyond any reasonable doubt that his signature style has changed from the signatures in the video (which were from 2011, and which are from what he gave during the 2008 campaign), to what he signs now.  I'm not sure how you can question that at this point.

I am still posing the question to you Steve - do you think the autographs that JSA are authenticating with regards to Obama real or not?

I am guessing that your answer is YES the ones JSA are authenticating are real just as long as the seller has a good reputation.  Not trying to put words in your mouth but is that what you are saying??  Would'tn they be real because JSA knows what they are doing with regards to authentication and the price that they are selling for is irrelevant..
Mark

There are some good ones Jsa did . I think Nick's are a good example. Then there are some they did that are not good.

I think Steve said earlier that Jsa had dropped the ball by authenticated this one and a few others.

Anthony why are Nicks good and the ones Mark put up bad??? What is the difference between them??!!!

Mark,

Months ago you asked for my opinions on some Obama autographs. I told you that I'm not an expert in them, but I did have some experience, and gave you my opinion. You sent me several more, asking for my opinion, and I gave it to you. I didn't have to. I'm not obligated to. But I id it because you asked and I tried to help.

I have since said that we need to do a signatures study and census on Obama autographs, especially to see what he signed like on the campaign trail, which is where most of his autographs were signed in 2012. Otherwise it's just one person's opinion against the other when it comes to autographs that are close. (The seller on eBay whose Obamas Anthony and I called out are not close. The ones I saw were blatant forgeries.)

If people are willing do to a real survey and study, I'm happy to join it. But I can't otherwise. I don't have time. Among other things, we're trying to get an auction house to issue refunds on almost $1.5 million in forged Michael Jackson autographs they sold a month ago. And in the process found a MJ signed jacket that sold for in June 2011 for $1.8 million with autographs we believe are also forged.

If we didn't expose these things, nobody else would.

I do appreciated every time you took time out and given me your opinion.

I did not mean to sound ungrateful - if I did that.

Thanks

Mark
What is involved in an autograph survey/study? I have sold several JSA authenticated Obama's recently and have purchased several more I am attempting to get certified. There seems to be a lot of forgeries in Ohio, but President Obama did campaign heavily here in 2012.

I can help if someone will let me know how this is handled.
So am not just talking about your Obamas. What I said was that we need a real signature study. I can give my opinions on yours, but that's not what's important.

A signature study would be as hard as "The Robot That Made a President" (JFK). The man thinks he's a rock star and signs the same way. It's really going to come down to just the "B" and that's it since the rest of his signature seems to change depending on date and, more obviously, how pressed he is when he signs. Books signed at book signings bear the most hastily-scribbled "rock-star" signatures, those on WH letterhead much less so.

If you master the "B", I think you'll have it down. The rest is so easily forged, there's no point in going crazy over it. Better yet - buy Lincoln.

He's more important than Lincoln. Just ask him. ;-)

you must be referring to Lincoln from the Mod Squad.
