No sweat, you can get it on ebay already - only £399!
This is kind of like ticket-touting, is it not, which is illegal in the UK.
Looking at eBay after things like this is never going to grant anyone any peace best to just say dang I missed it and move on and hope for restock
Presale items are not guaranteed. He may die. Never buy any presale items on ebay at inflated prices, months before release - this is huge risk and no guarantee you can recoup your money. This also contributes to the inflated market. On a few occasions, my order from WATERSTONES (and other shops) was cancelled due to insufficient stock. Whoever is selling these they are scalper. As Katchtastic rightly says - move on. Forget it. You win, you lose. You will get another chance at another title. I have many gaps on my wanted items list but I would never buy at hyper-inflated eBay prices.
Congratulations to all who managed to get this deal (although there are no guarantees at this stage)
I remember pre-ordering Donald Sutherland's memoir - not to be 😞
Ah yes myself as well. Good reminder. Let us all bring good vibes to Mr Hopkins that he has many years ahead of him 🙏🏽
Is there any indication that this signed edition is exclusive to Waterstones?
It was a plus exclusive and I’ve recollected most of those being played exclusive but we’ll see
Thank you - fingers crossed these pop up other places!
The last release tied to Plus Membership/accoint registration - Atwood's Book of Lives - was not exclusive to Waterstones. I doubt this will be, either.
The Waterstones edition, I am reliably told was 500 copies, hence why they went so quickly. I believe there will be a similar release to independent bookshops, but they are being very, very strictly rationed.
Sounds like another Kate Bush situation. Keep those mouse-clicking fingers sharp.
Keep your eyes on Blackwells who are offering the book at a discounted price of £20 and a further copy at £35.00 - both on pre-order. It does not actually say that the more expensive one is signed but it could be worth a punt if you did not snag a Waterstones copy. I can't imagine why the second one would be so highly priced otherwise.
