My son & I got Jordan’s autograph on his card 30 years ago at the first annual Celebrity Golf Tournament in Lake Tahoe. Never had it authenticated as we were there, and had no plans to sell. I’ve kept it in a display case ever since. Now, due to COVID, he’s been out of work in LA (works 2 jobs and does standup). He decided to part with it to help pay rent. I paid $300 to have PSA authenticate it. But they sent it back with an LOO and 7 reasons they deemed it fake. I can’t believe that. 7! We knew it has one issue because he used my son’s sharpie on a card that was waxy and it bubbles in one of the strokes. PSA customer service doesn’t answer, so I just left voicemails. Wondering what to do next? Can I get my money back since they are clearly wrong. Can they redo the authentication? Did I make a mistake paying the extra $50 to get it processed faster? Thanks for any advice.

PSA won’t refund you. It is their opinion it is not real. My suggestion is next time take a picture and ask Beckett Authentications to do a quick look to see if likely to pass or fail and be out 10 bucks.
Did you witness Jordan sign it or did someone take it from you got him to sign it and bring it back? Jordan is notorious for having others sign for him back then including ball handlers, caddies, and etc.
Unless you witnessed Jordan put the ink to the card he may have had someone else sign it.
That said if you witnessed it try Beckett’s quick opinion service if they say likely to pass send it in.
Thanks so much for your response. Yes I did witness him sign it. All of the celebrities were so gracious about it. We went back every year for 5 years. Wish I had known about Beckett - thanks again.
or try autogphcoa and ask for their opinion
I believe the only way you could possibly get a refund is if you send it in again at the full authentication fee and they change their opinion. That’s what was offered to me. Obviously, you’d be taking a risk in the hope that a different authenticator would see it and recognize that it’s authentic.

Well, you could have bought another autograph etc. I've never sent anything in my life. I enjoy the learning and details.
