I wanted to know. Is my Daredevil and Conan as Spider-Man funkos really signed by Stan Lee?
The Dardevil one has a COA (Certificate of Authentication).
The Conan one is said to have been sold by a club member who legitimately sold Stan Lee memorabilia which I took the sellers word for it.

The 'Excelsior Approved' is the only one I'm confident about.

I have significant doubt about the signature on the Daredevil figure. Not sure about the Conan figure, but it could be fine.

I agree that the Excelsior approved figure is the strongest of the three.

The later sloppy show signatures with the fat tip marker can be a challenge. You lose so much fine detail.

For my collecting, I gravitate toward earlier signatures executed with a fine tip pen. Those are typically easy to suss out bad from good. CGC Signature Series is also another secure way to collect.

Thanks for the help. I had doubts on the Daredevil figure.

I have a Collectibles store near where I live that has lots of Stan Lee memorabilia with 'Excelsior Approved' stickers. I asked them if I could compare signatures.

(Which they did let me) and compared the Conan funko. It matched up with the others they had.

I might go again to compare the Daredevil Funko closer.

Much thanks Steve!

Most important question. What are the years of issuance for each one of these. I don't know much about these pieces including the dates each one debuted respectively. But the style each is signed in is chronologically distinctive.

The Stan Lee figure was signed at August 22, 2014 at a Wizard World convention.

The Daredevil Pop was released in November 18, 2015.

And the Conan as Spider-man Pop Came out in July 20-23 , 2017.

Not sure about the times signed for Daredevil and Conan as Spider-man.

No later than 2015 thru 2017 for both those.

Then with those issuance dates in mind vs. the chronologic characteristics of the signature it bears, the Conan is proper but the Daredevil is absolutely not even remotely possible. The signature that the Daredevil bears is a forgery, stylistically (and incorrectly) based on an exemplar from years prior to issuance for that statue by a very wide margin.

Here's a similar figure exclusive to San Diego Comic Con Stan Lee attended in 2017.

It's likely mine was signed there too

Thanks for confirming the Daredevil figure is fake too.

I'm kinda bummed now.

Don't be bummed. As far as a batting average for procuring authentic Stan Lee signatures on other than CGC witnessed items, .666 is very respectable!
