Are people who list autographs like this trustworthy? I've been seeing many listing of autographs where the seller claims to have proof, but then it's a picture of the back of the celebrity's head or them signing an item that looks nothing like the listing. For example them signing a different picture then what's listed. Is this a scam or do some people really think people are going to ignore that? Seems really shady to me when they do that. I'm not trying to be rude but if you don't have a picture of the person signing what your listing, don't post them signing something completely different and then say "exact proof" or "proof"

I think you answered your own question very well.  (-:

I Just wanted some second opinions, I've only been collecting for a year and it's been something I've been seeing recently. Thanks for the reply I don't feel alone now lol.

If you're on to this kind of thing already, you're certainly doing much better than I was after my first year!  I was a slow learner to some of the ways that can exist in this hobby.

Yes I've had alot of help from members here! I'm a slow learner in being able to tell if autograph is real, I know a couple things but I can sometimes tell when something doesn't add up.

Sounds like you are well on the way!   This forum and some of the other trusted groups are really invaluable.

I go back to the pre/early internet stone age of collecting and, in hindsight, I had a rather rough start.  It was the first time in my life that I had my own money and I made some real errors.  Thankfully, there were a couple of kind dealers who recognized this.  They kind of took me by the hand and, in some ways, mentored me.

Now, having a peer based place for other collectors to help out like this is a real gift as well.

To many happy discoveries ahead!

This is exact proof. Negatives and all.

Yes I agree! Where you can actually see the signature they're selling. You can see part of the signature well enough to see they match.

Yes, it is an old scan of something I sold to someone in Mexico as I recall. I wish I had oriented the signatures better. But they are the same.
