Joe, This Johnson was on the back of the Ava autograph.

I don't like it. Too much leaning to the right, the A is not round enough and the G is atypical. IMHO.

Admittedly I do not know Ava well enough to render an opinion but the Van Johnson is spot on and imo authentic. My question is why would a forged Ava be on the other side of an authentic Van Johnson? I guess my answer is it’ll bring more money that way, but who knows.

Nick, This is old paper with old ink on both sides….the Gardner was not added many years later, there is no fresh ink radiating into old paper. 

Possibility both are authentic than. I had an Aunt that was crazy about Van Johnson I know the signature very well, that one is rock solid.

+1 for non-extant old sizing with new ink running into the paper fibers. This is vintage signed.
