Babe Ruth Lou Gehrig experts.. This Ball?

  I am not a sports signature expert but this Babe Ruth ball looks highly suspect...
Note how the miraculously bold signature is "Above" all the scuff marks?

IMO that ball is a complete piece of crap. Two second examination.

Yeah, a Ruth/ Gehrig ball going for a couple hundred bucks should be a tip off... also most balls of this age that are dirty/ scuffed up, etc. dont hold up bold autos like this. I wouldnt bid if it was $8.50!!!

WOW.....and this made it through Ace Authentication. You'd think even the shadiest of authenticators would play it safe on no brainers like this. Scary thought that somebody has an $850 + 18% auction fee on this.

It does make one wonder if they will truly cert anything. Like if we sent an Abe Lincoln signed in crayon... What are the odds it would get approved?

when is the last time you saw a Gehrig signature that is actually larger than Ruth's?
