I also don t like it, but the signatures on his early checked are very similar. That is what is trowing me off... What do you think?

not even close and why would he revert to an older style?  this looks nothing like his other signed books.

If you want an Obama autograph, and the added plus of a Bruce Springsteen, one of the signed books is at RR Auctions right now. You can either keep them on the book page, or cut them out and frame them with a photo of the President or the rocker.

It's a bad forgery.  Too "bouncy".  The forger copied certain elements of a real signature but in the wrong way.
