This part set is from an UK auction and described as a  1967 set, signed during the Sgt. Pepper sessions.

To me, they look like an earlier period set, and the McCartney looks a bit strange (like later Post-Beatles sets). Any opinions?

Tracks has a fine selection of authentic Beatles autographs, including some from 1967. See here.

I love that set!
Here's a set of Beatles autographs from 1967 from Frank Caiazzo, signed on a Sergeant Pepper sleeve:

Well, based on the examples shown I think you'd be pushed to say the set for sale is clearly "out of period".

Paul's sig looks later to me john and George looks fine.It would have been great if the letter stated than John came over to sign or I didn't get Ringo because..

67 john and paul

Maybe Paul forgot what year it was.

Lol yes im sure the drugs were flowing in 67. I don't think its a marriage the photos and the book.

what do we think this will go for?

Less than £4k plus buyer's premium would surprise me given the photos.

I share some of Paul's reservations re the provenance letter. "This is a true story" is an odd way to end it and you would have thought he would have said more about the book and the actual signings (e.g. why Ringo didn't sign). I wonder if the address book has other entries in it?

At the risk of showing my ignorance I don't recall Lennon underlining his surname like that. Anyone seen a similar one, especially from '67?

its a strange date to have the auction on.
