Any opinions of the authenticity of these early Beatles signatures (with Pete Best) ?

I have noticed them up for sale, and i am interested.

Any opinions/help would be greatly appreciated

To me, this sheet has a few problems. They all look like they were written in the same hand.

And, for being as old as they'd have to be (since Best is drummer, not Ringo), the ink would look WAAAAY OLDER than it does.

Don't buy.

I think Josh is right on all counts. These are pretty far off known genuine ones I've seen. And the paper is the same kind used for a lot of forgeries these days.

Good job, Terrier! That's what they copied...Pulled right from Frank Caiazzo's feature.

I saw these the other day and yes they are bad.  It is very unusual though for a forger to try this early of a set of Beatles.  Note how Pete and Paul wrote Barbie, identical.

Thanks for replies, thats pretty conclusive!

The item is for sale on Hollywoodmemorabilia.com   There's lots of Beatles items for sale on this site (some with PSA certs). Another one that caught my eye was this Paul+Linda Mccartney signed card, although it does not come with PSA cert. Any views on it?

Anyone have any info concerning Hollywoodmemorabilia.com?

I just checked out the site.  They have a lot of those items on ebay. They do have some items that are good, but there are a lot that look suspiciously like the forgeries that were being sold in droves by one of the companies that was discussed in another thread on this site previously.

Hollywoodmemorabilia.com is the same company as sportsmemorabilia.com. It's a consignment shop where you'll find everything from obvious forgeries to unquestionably genuine. They seem to accept consignments without concern about authenticity.

The flow of "ove" in love is nearly identical in Lennon, Harrison and McCartney.

The "to" is nearly identical in Lennon and Best.

LOL

Look at the From.. in Paul & John very very similar and the "m" from Pete as well.

These are up for sale at Gotta Have It auction on July 24th...

Read an FYI, these items were NOT pulled and ran in their last auction.
