I recently acquired a vintage Beatles Christmas card from the estate of Marie Lacey, an avid Beatles fan and amateur photographer who had a personal connection to Paul McCartney during the Wings era. (You can google her name to see how involved she was) I am a dealer, but in this case, I am helping a family friend clear out her house.

Marie had visited McCartney's home on several occasions and had reportedly been given permission to photograph his children. I also have the negatives to these photos, though I haven't gotten to sort through them yet,

Also among the items from her estate was an original 8 × 10 photograph of Paul McCartney, dated May 27, 1973. The photo was taken by Marie, developed, and then later signed by Paul. That photograph has since been authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA) with a full LOA.

The Christmas card came from the same estate. It features hand-drawn artwork in felt pen, a personal dedication to Marie, and what appear to be signatures associated with the four Beatles.

I am trying to establish the card's origin and determine whether the handwriting and signatures are genuine, secretarial, or otherwise connected to the Beatles or their fan club.

I would be particularly interested in any information about the artwork, handwriting, or individuals involved in preparing and distributing Beatles Christmas greetings during this period.

I understand that the authentication of the McCartney photograph does not establish the authenticity of the Christmas card, but I believe the estate provenance provides useful historical context for further investigation.

I'm very sorry but the inside of the card, in the main photo above, does not appear authentic to me. Doesn't look secretarial to me either.

Thank you for the reply. No need to be sorry. I have no investment, and minimal financial interest if it ends up having any value. I am just trying to determine if it should be headed to the authenticator, or the recycling bin.
