Definitely look legit to me. And agreed that the estimate, respectfully, seems a little high for four cuts with tape stains.

The estimate does seem a bit high. They were trimmed so close that a tiny bit of John’s “L” is missing.

I believe they are legitimate, but I think the price is high since it doesn't even include the premium fee, shipping, insurance, etc. With that amount of money, you could find one in better condition.

Agree genuine but in that state I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole - unless they were selling for an absolute bargain price. £2,250 seems far too high to me, even without considering the additional fees of 30% or so.

I think they're worth about $4,000 US. The autographs are nicely signed and essentially intact. It appears to be signed on thick, high-quality paper from a high-end autograph book.

They need to send the set for restoration. They'll be able to remove the tape, remove most or virtually all of the adhesive, and "wash" a good amount of any stain out—without hurting the ink.

I use a professional conservator a lot for restoring and conserving photographs and photograph albums. I also used to use professional restorers a lot for movie posters. At least in Europe, I think it would cost the equivalent of at least $1,000 to make these look presentable in a safe way. Then you have the issue of how to display them in an archival album or in a frame.

In the US, they'll be snapped up for autograph trading cards.
