Coming up for auction is this set of autographs from July 1963. Very nice set with a starting bid of £8,000.

So if it goes for the opening bid of 8000 pounds, after commission, import fees, shipping, etc. you are looking at $13,500. Way too much in my opinion.

It will be released by Paul Fraser Collectibles, if I remember correctly. I think the price is high when you add shipping, taxes, etc. But it's definitely a beautiful set.

Just went to Paul Fraser’s web site and this set was not listed for sale. Perhaps he had the consignment and didn’t make the sale and now it is with JC Auctions.

There's no way this is going to sell at auction for £8,000 or more + fees, unless it goes into one of those Sotheby's evening sales for people with more money than sense - and/or time to look around. The method of presentation doesn't help of course.

Agreed it's a nice set but, IMO, the opening price is optimistic.
