c credit cards go way beyong that amont i can buy a house on mine

Actually, you have to be able to really afford these items when you bid:

RR Auctions only allows invoices up to $1000 to be paid by credit card or PayPal...above that limit you must pay by wire, check or money order. 

Similar limits are used by other auction houses..and they often tack on an extra 2% (or more) if you choose to use a credit card...
