First Beckett coa I've seen https://www.ebay.com/itm/252720561304
Are any auction houses using them?

I've seen many others. Mostly eBay sellers. Lot of Carrie Fisher signed photos with Beckett coa's.

Thank you for pointing this COA out I had not seen one.  I am disappointed they are sticking with the tried and true TPA signed "on behalf" of their "experts."  How much money would it cost to have another line that says personally examined by "John Doe" then signed by him?   Why do TPA's feel they must keep the person who actually looks at an item a secret?  That is why I respect Steve Z. and Mr. Epperson they are not afraid to sign what they examine.

I am only guessing here, but I think we can ask any of the employees of a large TPA company who have been named in legal proceedings or stuck in depositions. They will likely tell you why there are no names on most of these COAs.

I had not thought about that but that means I have even more respect for Steve Z. and Mr. Epperson.

The reason they don't list the individual authenticator's name is that they're brands: and their brand is who they want you to know and trust. In the case of PSA/DNA, the card and coin grading services owned by the same company don't use the names of graders either.
