eBay seller shadowboundgoons

He consistently has these group signatures, most with the same old paper style.  His work is pretty good, whereas many inexperienced collectors will be fooled.   All forgeries.

Thx, I appreciate that....on the Joplin, which is the one that came from him, please?

The one on the right.

Here are a couple more bad ones from this seller.

Ok, now I see the real one and I can compare...thx so much!

Thx!

Right!
Well, to be honest, I've looked at the signature study done, on Sinatra, by Kevin Conway of Conway's Treasures and believe it to be good. That's why I'm going to send it off to Roger for a full blown exam.

Before you send it for full authentication, you should make Roger aware of the seller and show him the examples I posted. I can post more fake Hendrix if you’d like.

I had planned on disclosing that in my letter to him. You believe I should say so upfront?

This signature is slow and labored with hesitations, uncertainty ("S" esp) and incorrect formations/slants/loops. The ink lays oddly on the paper; there are large ink deposits where there should be speed (start of "F" and every ending stroke). I would just seek a refund.

Well, I'm no expert in handwriting forensics. I've emailed Roger with the story and the previous gentleman's examples that he was kind enough to supply for me. Thank you, as well, for your input here.....

You are most welcome. Ballroom has superb eyes like a genetically modified eagle. Be sure to post the response you receive. I hope you mentioned the source as well. What is the sellers return policy? Did you pay with PayPal?

LOL. Thanks, Eric.
