Here is a look at how the Bo-° form gathered momentum.

With all these numerals "'95" posted, look back at them all, starting from this post - ending with the one I first posted. Look at the "5"...

An authentic 1995 example, signed for me in person on 28 November that year:

I also met David at Cork Street in April 1995, and obtained several autographs during those few days, but none of them have survived.

I’m quite saddened by the number of fakes to emerge since David’s death, and I don’t enjoy playing the gotcha game.  That said, the signature on the guitar in the OP is not real, IMO.

I don't think anyone is playing "gotcha" here - most if not all following this specific topic already know who and what we are talking about. People have been asking what to look for in this current large mess and some are trying to show things. No one in this thread thought the OP guitar/cut sig was good, other than Andy.

I wonder if RR auction will be mentioning AP COAs like they have done in the past.

It has been said a lot of the problem items went through there...but the papers were "good" then to all. Now?

I have no doubt that others will use those papers as long as possible.

AP quest was to rid the market of fake DB autographs. I'm sure the market will now be flooded with fakes. I'm sure the value has been affected.

It already has. To quote Blondie "the tide is high"...

The good dealers and auction houses will handle this with the buyers and consigners if their TPAs are concerned about the authenticity of some or all of them.

True, and RR always takes down a questionable item with reasonable proof. That is commendable (and infrequent). They are good people from my experience.

I don’t like it. Doesn’t have Bowie’s useful flair for his quick autograph.
