Any opinions on this David Bowie autograph of mine? Bought it a few years ago online. Thankful for every opinion!

It is very nice to see you here Corey. We saw something like this with The Eagles as I recall.

"The hundreds of recent fresh ink exemplars that have flooded the market: - Didn't Perry Cox say he wasn't taking new material since the Ringo thing?

This thing I posted unfortunately has another set of papers. It is being sold by that seller in Canada who specializes in incorrectly authenticated material.

Thanks for your valuable opinions! I feared that that would be the case.

Hi Fabian, I've seen a lot of this lately, and I feel bad every time.

I think we can all appreciate the disappointment.   There's seems to be a lot of ongoing disappointment in the Bowie collecting community in recent times.   I have an acquaintance also who has one similar to this one.

Do you have a Bowie Eddy? I thought you mentioned one.

What do you make of this, Eric?

I believe that is authentic. Typical 1983. Numerals look great too.

Rats! I thought it looked good as well and it's a nicely unusual item but I didn't chase and it went for a reasonable price, I thought.

What did it go for?

$310 plus auction fees etc

Well, it wasn't an outright steal. 1983 is by far the most common of his signatures due to the 1983 World Tour "Serious Moonlight". And folks want LP's and SP's. I would estimate that signature on that Playbill to be some $600-$700. Double your money - not enough for me. It is very hard to value Bowie these days thanks to Mr. Ford. Some people are still believing "Peters" papers.

I had one.  It travelled back to the UK in a trade I made toward some other material that's more within my focus.  I believe it was subsequently listed on offer through them.
