Has anyone dealt with Castle Fine Art recently? I'm interested in one of their new signed Bob Dylan prints. I know there were issues in the past with the authenticity of the artwork signatures, but my understanding is that they are all good now?
Regarding cost, the £1,950 asking price seems pretty steep, so I'd appreciate any info on Dylan's autograph price in recent times - although compared to the previous artwork releases, this price appears to be on the lower end for them at least.

You have read the 10 page threads here etc?
I was just asking if you read all those, I have no knowledge of current signed art releases by Dylan.
I am very curious to see the comments you receive!
I would suspect they have it sorted, but don't really have anything to point to. I would purchase it on a credit card with buyer protection, then send it to Epperson for a review to be on the safe side. Some of us on this forum are above average with Dylan, but you want a pro to review it.
Firstly, I believe the price for the latest Dylan prints is £2,950, not £1,950. The latter would be cheap, not steep. The former is the starting price for Dylan prints these days.
The autopen scandal was resolved a couple of years ago. Both Dylan and Castle Fine Art apologised, and Dylan’s reputation escaped relatively unscathed. They would both be crazy to repeat the same trick again. The latest prints are fine as far as I have seen. There’s no need to send them to Epperson. If you have any doubts, post a clear photograph here first, for a free opinion.
Your wider question regarding current market prices for genuine Dylan autographs is more difficult to answer. It depends on a number of factors, including the age of the autograph, the provenance, and the desirability of the item it is signed on. He remains the most elusive and difficult of targets for autograph hunters, and one of the most sought-after by collectors. The market is strong. As such, fakes abound.
The baseline for a genuine signature on a non-Dylan item is £1,500 to £2,000. Put that signature on something nicer and more relevant, such as one of his art books or an album cover, and you can double or even triple that price. Exceptional items, especially vintage items from the 1960s, can sell for even more.
The art prints are the safest entry point into the world of Dylan autographs, especially if you are looking to buy directly from Castle. The sales reps are a bit slick for my tastes, but you can ignore their patter for the most part. My advice is to go with your gut and choose a piece that appeals to you aesthetically and emotionally.
Dylan's new Point Blank collection and exhibition has prints for £1,950
Thank you for clarifying. I couldn’t find those when I searched the site by price this morning. I knew there was a new collection out because I’m on their mailing list, but I’m not in the market for another Dylan right now, so I didn’t pay much attention to it.
That’s a good price, IMO. If one of the images speaks to you then you won’t do much better on the open market.
James, where are you seeing Dylan signed prints on Castle for 1,950 pounds? Cheapest ones on there are 2,950 and then add shipping, customs fees, etc.
