ok, i don't think I got it all, I just have a few questions:

1. Are you saying Duncan are cheap pickups?

2. How the hell did you see it was Duncan? :)

Because I have Duncan pickups on a variety of guitars. I like the china pick ups myself. Seymour duncan designed them etc....for mostly Squire guitars. Then they have the 'american made' ( that's debatable) pick ups which are awesome too for every style guitar. The gold lettering on the p/u's in that strat can only be SD's or EMG p/u's both are unlikely in 1992 without those 6 screws coming out of the top of the pick ups. Only recently do they have pickups without the screws (magnets or pole pieces) in the middle showing.

That's the clincher for me!

The second signature is so dark I didn't even see it.
