I just try to give my honest opinion. I'm not an expert but I have doubts about the original Gable in this discussion. For what it's worth, I don't think it was signed by Gable. Just my opinion.

Well, I am with Joe, one of these three appears to be "varying" more than the others. Do you others?

I am looking at the "C", and especially how Clark would tend to make his "r" like a "u" and then there is the distinctive "k", also how his "G" always resembles a 9, this was his normal signature for fans...Pam

I don't think it was signed by Gable either - not from what has been shown.

Hello Joe,

Apart from the angles and slant, the "lark" and the "able", I am looking now at the relative height of the "r" in Clark to the "a" before it and the "k" after it. This questioned signature has the "r" higher higher than the starting bit of the "k", and that seems odd.

I feel the same way now as the my first post. I didn't like it then. Don't like it now. Nothing has convinced me to change my mind. Even a PSA certification would not change it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I love this hobby!

Off topic a bit. I love this site. I can learn more in one day than in six months of trying to figure something out on my own. So many people sharing their knowledge. Even when there's disagreement, something is gained in the process.
