Hello all.

I've joined this site looking for some advice and help. I've been looking for a nice Clint Eastwood autograph to hang in my basement when its complete. I was in Vegas not to long ago and came across the autograph store in the planet hollywood mall. In there was 2-3 nice Clint pieces I was interested in. I was assured by the clerk that everything was double authenticated and they used the likes of drew max and others.  But not knowing anything about the store or sources I decided to play it safe and think about it.

Anyway I came home and started searching the internet for clint eastwood stuff and its a fairly common occurrence to see that 99% of the sites out there selling stuff have horrible reviews and are selling fakes. I really don't trust ebay because everyone and their cat and dog seems to have a psa / dna authenticated.

There are a few which seem decent like bbauthenticated and others. But I'm still leary.

Anyways does anyone have any experience with these 2 sites below (one is the vegas store and the other is their store on the east coast)

I found only a few people complaining of fakes from them. I was inquiring about one of their posters sigend and got this reply

Dear ,
These were in-person signatures collected on site of his recent movie by Hollywood interviewer, Garry Lawrence.  There are photos of Clint Eastwood signing as they sat together for lunch.
Best regards,

The red flag for me is I can't seem to find any reference to Garry Lawrence or any interview done.

Here's a past discussion you can compare signatures with : http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/clint-eastwood-signa...

I'm not familiar with the company.  I took a look at their Star Wars items but the website does not allow a close enough look to be certain.  I am a little curious about the Empire poster and would love to know the history of it.

It looks like they have a private signing with Peyton Manning coming up so you may want to ask what other private signings they have had in the recent past.  Private signings are usually a good indication that a company is reputable.

Regarding eBay, you are right to be cautious.  The problem that I have with eBay is that they sometimes protect the seller at the expense of the buyer.  There are quite a few reputable dealers on eBay that have good reputations but you need to do your homework because ultimately you are the one who needs to be confident that the piece you purchase is authentic.  I'm not sure why you would be concerned about PSA authenticated items though.  I would certainly stay away from items that are not authenticated by PSA or JSA unless the dealer guarantees that if the items do not pass third-party authentication they will refund your money.  Be careful that they do not require a 14-day return period which is common on eBay.

I hope that this helps.

The Harrison Ford signatures on those Star Wars items are not authentic. They are the same forgery patterns that is offered by autographstore.com

I don't recommend either Antiquities store because of authenticity concerns. Here's a link to Toby Stoffa's blogs o our site from a couple years ago, though:

Golden State Autographs has authentic Clint Eastwood signed photos

I guess Golden State is one of those places that everyone recognizes and being very reputable?

Golden Age and golden state autographs are top in the business.

I agree...both Golden Age and Golden State are top notch dealers I really respect. Tom Kramer from Golden Age is one of the world's top experts on classic Hollywood. Caleb Gluck of Golden State Autographs is one of the top entertainment check dealers and a great source of Hollywood and music autographs from the 1960s-up.

I like their company esp if you want a signed check.

I agree. I've gotten many checks and contracts from Caleb over the years. Tom Kramer is also top notch for vintage stuff.

What do you mean signed check?

I am not sure if a lot of people know about them but Golden State Autographs is a reputable dealer in entertainment autographs
