Dan Aykroyd private signing with Mintych. Should I send these in? Is it safe?

I have 2 photos already signed by Harold Ramis and a hat signed by Bill Murray that I would love to add Dan onto these items but absolutely do not trust the post office back and forth.

I contacted Mistych who were super nice and said they would make an exception where I could drop off before the event and pick of my items in person after it was complete. No offense to them personally of course but I have no idea if I should trust a company like this with these high priced items. They also have insurance that can be purchased on top of the autograph price but I see it as a joke. Insurance doesn't guarantee I'll see my items again.

Overall, I'm scared to put my trust into others with my items. If I do this, I would only pay the fee for 3 signatures, not the extra insurance. Am I wrong second guessing this or should I just go ahead with it and take the chance? I have 1 more month until items are due.

What would you do?

Yeah. They’re a good outfit. I wouldn’t hesitate.

Thanks for this reply a while ago. You helped convince me to do it. I dropped my items off in person in mid October. It was extended for another month. Just the other day, they posted a LONG video how they open mail for the signing. Very interesting. Other collectors sent in previously signed items from Harold Ramis and even John Belushi.

The event is shut down for orders now. The signing will take place soon. This is my first time ever dealing with a private signing. I'm a terrible over thinker and it's been torture weighing on my mind lol. The good so far, quick to respond and willing to work with me for drop off and pickup so no shipping involved. I'm being patient.

Here's the long video posted to their FB. It's a great insight into how these private signing companies opporate. I'll update as things progress and turn this into a review for Mintych for anyone looking for info about them on these forums in the future
