Hi everyone! I just recently got a personalized autograph from my favorite celebrity! I would really like to digitize it (just in case, it's nice to have a digital backup!).

I would like to take it to a professional scanning place that would provide a high-quality scan using touchless scanning so that the autograph isn't harmed in any way (the autograph was made with a white POSCA paint pen).

I'd also like to hand-deliver the item myself and be present during the scanning (gotta make sure nothing happens to it and no one tampers with it - it cost way too much to take any chances!).

Has anyone digitized an autograph in this manner? If so, do you have any recommendations for specific places? (I live in Philadelphia and would be willing to drive a few hours if necessary).

Thanks so much for any help!

I'll bite. Who's the autograph?

Thanks! Haha. Autograph is from Sylvester Stallone! Cost a pretty penny haha hence why I'd like to preserve it and accompany it during scanning to make sure nothing happens! Thanks for any advice!

I thought it might be Jesus or something!

Hahahaha that would be quite the autograph 🤣

I Wonder if one does exist, would it be on a page from an ancient bible? I'd think it'd be the most expensive autograph on earth.

People would probably pray to the thing being he touched it lol.

Oh man, this thread has gotten so off topic hahaha, but ironically I do have a theology degree - it would not have been on a Bible, because the Bible was not assembled into one book until the 4th century when Catholic bishops met during the Council of Rome to assemble multiple Gospels and letters that were floating around into one single book called the Bible - so if Jesus did "autograph" something, it would not have been a Bible because they wouldn't be assembled for another 400 years hahaha

In any case, if anyone has any advice or input about digitizing an autograph, I would greatly appreciate it!! Though this has been a very interesting discussion hahaha

It would go downhill in value extremely fast after his second coming and the market becomes flooded 🤣

Or would he go the way of McCartney?

It sounds like you just want your photo scanned.  it's an easy process for someone who has the right equipment.  There's a photo lab near me that does this sort of thing.

Not a bad idea to have a high quality print made to display so you can keep the original safely stored away.

Thanks so much, appreciate it! After doing some more research, you're right, I am surprised at how many touchless scanning places are around - I'm totally new to autographs, so figured I'd check here to see if anyone else did this sort of thing!

Thanks again for your help!
