Donald Frangipani COA strikes again on Ebay "ORIGINAL MARILYN MONROE AUTOGRAPHED SIGNED B/W PHOTO w/Jane russell ITEM #150902452840"

Even though Donald Frangipani is on the EBAY Banned Authenticators list, this seller MTRIANO slipped this bad attempt at a Marilyn Monroe Signature through with a very generic description of his COA . WE all need to be vigilant when EBAY Sellers like MTRIANO get creative in their listings to sell this junk to the public

I cringe when I hear that name...that guy should have never got involved in authentication...he really was a big part of many bad items

Looks like it's been removed.

I am happy to hear that Steve...

As I understand it Donald Frangipani is NOT a banned authenticator but rather his earlier easier copied COA's are. The man is still a highly regarded expert and respected throughout law enforcement agencies. I am amazed how companies offering an "Opinion" are considered superior to experts certified and attesting "under oath" as to validity or lack thereof.....but only on auction sites. The racket that is autograph authentication(?), rather opinion, continues.

Go away shill. Peddle your spin somewhere else.

Wow, the shill known as Gary speaks again. Once again coming to defend some of the worst players in the game. Hey Gary..........Operation Bullpen was just a bunch of heresay too, right?? It was all just mistakes and people copying others COAs, right? According to Gary logic, which of course is pure stupidity, then thats exactly what it means. I encourage you to get all your items certed by GFA, Frangipani (who was busted in bullpen), Max, and Morales. Relish in your forgeries and attempt to pass them on to the public. Its okay, this site will be their to get them taken down.

Yes he is a banned authenticator. If his item are reported they get removed. Keep making up stuff in hopes to confuse people. It wont work.

Gary,

Thank you for showing undeniably what Frangipani is all about. As was pointed out earlier today in another discussion, you are under Federal indictment in South Florida for trafficking in counterfeit sports merchandise and jerseys.

Federal indictment? wow! News to me. Just a quick fact check Frangiapani was never charged, indicted or arrested as regards Operation Bullpen but rather was a coperating witness and who still works with law enforcement and the judiciary in New York. Why such haters?

long before I ever heard of Operation Bullpen, when I was collecting autographs, and purchasing items on line, I saw multitudes of COA's signed by Frangiapani, and virtually all of them were associated with forgeries.  The story back then (from his side) was that the COA's themselves were forged.  But I have yet to see an authentic item associated with one of his certs. I am sure they are out there because even a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while, but they are as rare as Joe Jackson signed baseballs.

Gary,

No...I said YOU were under Federal Indictment for trafficking in counterfeit goods, not Frangipani. You're not aware that you were charged last August? In case this is news to you, here's the press release from the Department of Justice:

Three Individuals Charged With Trafficking In Counterfeit Goods
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEOctober 11, 2012
Orlando, FL - United States Attorney Robert E. O'Neill announces the return of three separate indictments charging three Florida men with trafficking in counterfeit goods. If convicted, Gary T. Mannix (59, Daytona Beach), Mohamed El Said Mohamed (37, Ormond Beach), and Dale Borders (38, Orlando) each face a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison, and a fine of up to $2 million. The indictment also notifies each individual that the United States intends to forfeit items which are alleged to be traceable to proceeds of the offense.

Mannix is charged with of trafficking in counterfeit sports merchandise and jerseys of the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), and Major League Baseball (MLB). He was indicted on August 15, 2012.

Mohamed was indicted on August 23, 2012. He pleaded guilty on September 28, 2012. According to court documents, he admitted to trafficking in over 1,000 counterfeit handbags, jewelry, watches, and wallets bearing counterfeit marks of Coach, Fendi, Prada, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for December 19, 2012. Borders is charged with trafficking in counterfeit DVDs bearing the trademarks of Beachbody, LLC, Disney Enterprises, Inc., and Zumba Fitness, LLC. He was indicted on October 10, 2012.

An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed a violation of the federal criminal laws, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.

These cases were investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations. They will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David Haas.
So Gary T Mannix, are you the same Gary T Mannix who was indicted for trafficking in counterfeit goods?

If so, what has become of the indictment? Any court date set yet?

If so, any chance you were getting autographs on those counterfeit jerseys?
